An exciting almond shape

When you think of Showa era curry plates, many people probably think of an oval shape shaped like an almond. Eating curry in this almond shape will lift your mood, so you'll definitely find the curry to be more delicious than usual.

A curry plate made by Wakaba Enokida of Enokida Kiln with a stylish and cute dot pattern.

Pop and cute dot pattern

A dot pattern with cute white polka dots drawn on the surface of the container. You can feel the warmth in the expressions and textures that are created by hand-crafting, such as the black spots that appear when the iron contained in the soil reacts during firing, and the shading of the glaze. The tasteful candy glaze and pale, gentle light blue harmonize beautifully.

A curry plate made by Wakaba Enokida of Enokida Kiln, which uses Mashiko soil and glaze to create a rich flavor.

Taste unique to handicrafts

Enokida kiln pottery made using Mashiko soil and traditional glaze. Because each piece is made by hand, the natural fluctuations and glaze dripping in the shape give a sense of taste and depth that cannot be expressed with mass-produced items.

A curry plate made by Wakaba Enokida of Enokida Kiln, whose almond shape makes your heart flutter.

For various dishes such as pasta and stews

The depth is approximately 4cm. It can be used in a wide variety of dishes, including curry, stews, pasta with plenty of sauce, juicy stews, and fried rice, both Japanese, Western, and Chinese.

Wakaba Enokida's pottery from Enokida Kiln brings warmth to the dining table.

Because each piece is handmade, there are individual differences in color, shape, size, weight, glaze unevenness, glaze pools, and glaze shrinkage. In addition, there may be differences in the degree of glaze application, fading, pinholes, and iron powder (sunspots), but this does not cause any problems with use. Please enjoy the unique expression that can only be achieved by handmade products. Although you cannot choose which item you receive, we hope that you will look forward to receiving it. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us before shipping and we will email you a separate photo.
